Next Door Kitchens Privacy Policy
Next Door Kitchens — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 8/17/26
This Privacy Policy explains how [Next Door Kitchens LLC] ("Next Door Kitchens," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Next Door Kitchens platform (the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Account and profile: name, email, phone number, neighborhood, ZIP code, profile and cover photos, and bio.
- Cook information: kitchen details, pickup address, listings, and documents you upload for verification (such as food-safety certificates, registrations, proof of inspection, and insurance).
- Transaction information: orders, pickup times, order messages, reviews, and ratings.
- Payment information: processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers; we store limited details such as a customer or account identifier.
- Support and communications: messages you send us, including through the contact form.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage and device data, such as pages viewed, actions taken, IP address, browser and device type, and general location derived from ZIP or IP.
- Cookies and similar technologies used to operate and improve the Platform.
2. How we use information
We use information to: create and manage accounts; operate the marketplace and process orders and payments; verify Cooks and support compliance and safety; generate labels and enforce listing rules; schedule pickups and reveal pickup addresses at the appropriate time; send transactional messages and, with your consent, other notifications; provide customer support; detect fraud and abuse; comply with legal obligations; and improve the Platform.
3. How we share information
- Between transacting users: to complete a transaction, we share limited information between a Buyer and the Cook (for example, order details, the pickup time, a handoff code, and, at the appropriate time before pickup, the exact pickup address). Public profile and kitchen information is visible to other users.
- Service providers: we share information with vendors who help us operate, such as our payment processor (Stripe), email provider (Resend), hosting and database provider, document/OCR services, and, where you use them, business-formation and insurance partners. These providers may process information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety: we may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or Next Door Kitchens.
- Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your profile and settings in the app, and you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
- You can manage notification preferences (email and, when available, SMS and push) in your settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing.

5. Text messages (SMS)

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time and HELP for help. We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in consent with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to legal requirements.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including access controls, encryption in transit, and private storage for sensitive documents. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
